Well I'm still not where I want to be, but I see clearly the many possiblities. If you have a specific dream, make sure you hold onto it because that is the one that has the most meaning for you. If it calls to you the most then that is where the Universe most likely wants you to be, as well.

As for my book, I'm reconsidering all the options, even the crazy ones. I want to publish it myself, but I still don't have a place from which to do that so I may go with one of these sites that help you do that.

Thank you for your patience. Meanwhile keep on dreaming!

New Life

I'm currently in a holding pattern. Life is good, but not exactly where I wanted to be. But I know the Creator has a plan and purpose and I will someday soon be living in a new place.

I have not heard back from that Penguin Publisher (Razorbill), but I'm hopeful. And if I don't hear back from them in the next 30 days or so I'll probably just proceed to publish myself as I had intended.

So all is in perfect order really. And my husband (Hopegiver) and I are thinking of buying a retreat center. I'll update all those interested in that also, let you know how it's going.

Love and Light find you,

They're interested!

It's been awhile since I posted, mainly because I didn't have anyting to post. But on Monday a branch of Penguin invited me to send in my whole manuscript!

Now I am ever so excited. Even if it leads to nothing, it's good to finally have someone that's interested. I'm trying to prep my manuscript for take off. Hopefully it'll be packaged to mail by Sat. and in someone's hands by Tuesday, then it's just a waiting game.

In the meantime I have decided whether it gets published through them or not, I will still have my own press. I know so many people with interesting stories that would make great books.

Well, wish me luck!

Dancing Wolfe Press

Well after another fine rejection I have decided that I should start my own publishing company. I do not make this decision lightly. I have thought about it many times over that last several years. I was always too afraid to take that leap.

But something inside of me has been unleashed and I will not stop until I acheive my dreams. So these little publishing companies look out for your competition!

It will be called Dancing Wolfe Press, as long as that name is not already taken in the national database.

Did you know starting a buisness is as simple as registaring your buisness name with your state and getting your tax number. There is probably a fee, but not a big one!

I hope by August 1st to have my tax # and Buisness ID ready to go!

What a wonderful world we live in!

Self-Publish?

While I have been waiting for my ship to come in, in a manner of speaking, I've been looking into Self-publishing. And there seem to be as many ways to do this as there are fish in the sea. Some of these can get expensive.

Custom book covers, interiors, ISBN's etc. can all start to add up. So though I'm really and truly considering this I would give a word of caution to not jump at the first sign of publishing oppurtunity. And consider cost wisely. After looking at some royalties figures it can get a little complex.

Also, this is really important, if you know anyone capable of drawing or graphics design that won't charge so much please point them in my direction. I would like to have someone design cover art for my book.

Some of these self-publishers provide this service also, but prices vary widely.

If I go this route I think I will be ready to publish an actual book within 60 days! It may not be what I had in mind originally, but we all have to start somewhere.

No Word

Hello there, just a blurb to say that there is no word or interest from any agents yet. But hey it's still very early. I shouldn't really expect anything for another week or so. But I do believe in miracles.

So my next task is to prep my manuscript. It's finished, to be sure, but as they say you can never have it quite polished enough.

Sweet Rejection!

My search for an agent has lead me to several possible agencies that accept e-mail queries. I've sent out four this week. And I've already recieved my first official rejection letter.

I know I may see more of those, but for now that one rejection is giving me hope that I will find an agent to represent my book. It will get published! Thanks Mr. Henshaw for your promt and kind rejection letter!

You've given me encouragement to continue.

In other news Patricia's work on the website is nearly complete. All I need to do is pick a host site and everything will be a go for launch!

What exciting times!

Hello testing 1, 2, 3...

Hello testing 1, 2, 3... anybody out there?

As we get the site reved up to begin I find I am in a whole new place in my life I have never been before. Not only has the creator of the universe seen fit to bless me with three healthy and happy children, a loving spouse, but I can see that my book will one day see the light of a bookstore.

I will continue to update, all those interested, in my progress to get published. What my first book is about and when it will be released.

Yes, these are indeed exciting times.

More later.
